The operational energy of buildings accounts for about 25% of domestic energy consumption in Japan,　and　about a half of that is consumed in residential buildings. Our daily life is supported by this huge energy consumption. This laboratory researches on low energy building solutions for better life by studying locality of climate, thermal performance of a building, utilization of renewable natural energy　and　so forth.
