Basic information

Building and city have been constructed on a stack of effort and wisdom of many people. We are required to continuously make better living environment based on the stock with improvement. This laboratory is trying to understand original concepts of existing buildings and city planning from drawings and documents. In addition, actual usage and ingenuity of inhabitants are studied via field works. Based on research findings, we consider what would be required for the future building/city and how such demand could be implemented in planning and design.
